Our hearts beat with a deep passion for the orphans, Grannies, and dedicated staff at our Care Center in Soshanguve, a desire to see them cherished, thriving, and protected. Yet, we know the need is so much bigger than just our Care Center; it spans the globe.
Each November, Global Orphan Awareness Month calls us to open our hearts and reflect on the challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children around the world.
It’s a powerful reminder of their need for support, protection, and advocacy, with many of these children going without the basic necessities, not to mention the care and love that every child deserves.
This month, we warmly invite you to join us each week in November in focused, heartfelt prayer.
Together, let us lift up specific needs each day, trusting in the transformative power of prayer to touch hearts, strengthen families, and renew entire communities.
Throughout November, we are praying for orphans around the world. lifting up their needs, their hopes, and their futures.
This Giving Tuesday on December 2, we have the powerful opportunity to put action to those prayers for our own orphaned children, coming together to provide tangible support to those we’ve been lifting up.
We’re dedicating our Giving Tuesday efforts to provide life sustaining food hampers (an extra-large amount of food for the Christmas holidays) for the orphans in our care and their families, who struggle with the means to secure adequate food.
Our goal is to reach 80 families this December, with each hamper costing $100.
Just $100 can provide 180 meals for a family of six, offering both nourishment and dignity to those who need it most, and provide extra goodies for the holidays. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more about how you can help us reach our Giving Tuesday goal.
Your prayers and generosity truly transform lives.
Together, we’re lighting the path to a brighter, hope-filled future for these precious children and families. Thank you for your unwavering love, commitment, and faith in God and the work of Kerus.
