Marcia Ball, Ed.D

Co-Founder/Executive Director

Background and Experience

Before co-founding Kerus Global Education, Dr. Marcia Ball was a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She has 11 years of experience in higher education and has written and directed numerous state and federal grant projects related to youth risk behavior. She also served on the Governor of Virginia’s Maternal and Child Health Council’s Subcommittee for Teen Pregnancy Prevention. Dr. Ball is the co-author of the Life at the CrossRoads and It Takes Courage! curricula and training programs used in HIV/AIDS prevention programs in over 50 nations. Dr. Ball is also a certified Birkman International Learning Partner.

Jennie Cerullo, Ph.D.

Co-Founder/Executive Director

Background and Experience

Dr. Jennie Cerullo holds academic degrees in education, human resource leadership, and cross-cultural education. She has worked as a principal in a Vietnamese refugee camp in Hong Kong, taught in private and public schools, and served as an administrator for an English language development program in California. Dr. Cerullo has also taught in the graduate education program at Azusa Pacific University. She regularly consults internationally in the areas of character education and adult learning methods. She is the co-author of the Life at the CrossRoads and It Takes Courage! curricula and training programs used in HIV/AIDS prevention programs around the world. Dr. Cerullo is also a certified Birkman International Learning Partner.

Debbie Garrick

Graphic Design and Curriculum Development

Background and Experience

Debbie holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Wheaton College and a Masters in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary. She has been an educator since 1982, including nine years in Germany and Austria, teaching music and working with children who have learning disabilities. Presently, Debbie is a free-lance musician, regularly braving the rehearsal halls of choirs from ages 7 to 97 as director and accompanist. She is also a freelance graphic artist, working primarily with educational and service organizations locally and internationally. Debbie joined Kerus before it was Kerus, helping with graphic design and curriculum development. She has had the privilege of helping communicate its message through every phase of its growth, which means, if you’ve seen it, chances are it came through her desk at some point!
