Go Amogela

South Africa-based Go Amogela, is a local NGO born out of Kerus’ efforts to provide care for over 130+ orphaned and vulnerable children in the township of Soshanguve. Together, Kerus and Go Amogela are actively involved in the support of families in crisis, providing education, counseling and psycho-social-spiritual support where needed.

Home from Home

Home from Home, based in Cape Town, South Africa is engaged in a foster care cluster schemes, managing over 35 foster homes in Cape Town and numerous others through its affiliates around the world. Kerus uses the Home for Home model of care for Kerus’ Safe House Project.

Safe House Project

Safe House Project is answering the deepest need to effectively serve and empower survivors of sex trafficking in America. As a national leader empowering survivors of sex trafficking in America, Safe House Projects accelerates safe house development and cultivating restorative healing. Kerus and Safe House Projects work closely together through the establishment of Kerus Safe Houses in South Africa. Through the Courage to Care Program, a joint project with Safe House Projects, we promote community awareness and offer training to prevent the sex trafficking of children in Africa.

It Takes Courage! Project Partners

TWR

TWR (formerly Trans World Radio)—Founded in 1952, Trans World Radio broadcasts radio programs in more languages than anyone in the world today. Programs are aired in more than 200 languages and dialects. Kerus is TWR’s “anchor partner” in a worldwide HIV/AIDS prevention initiative. The Kerus Radio Project has been established for mass media strategies associated with the ITC! programs. Kerus and TWR launched Grandma’s Village, a 32-program radio drama series that teaches the ITC! Youth Curriculum. This program airs in 4 languages – African English, ki-Swahili, Portuguese, and Xitshwa

Willow Creek Global Connections – Africa

Global Connections is a ministry of Willow Creek Community Church, in Barrington, IL. Their mission is to serve, empower and connect churches that live out the mission to transform all areas of life through the Gospel. They serve people in Africa and Latin America who are marginalized, oppressed and under-resourced. Kerus serves as a technical partner in HIV/AIDS prevention strategies, training school and church leaders to use the ITC! program effectively. ITC! projects are active in schools and churches throughout Angola, South Africa and Zambia.

Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse—Led by Franklin Graham, this organization chose Kerus to provide the core curriculum and training for a massive HIV/AIDS prevention program for youth in four African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique and Uganda. The ITC! Youth Curriculum was utilized as part of the Samaritan’s Purse “Prescription for Hope” initiative to combat HIV/AIDS. This project reached over 17,000 professionals and 728,000 youth.

World Vision

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice in nearly 100 countries. Kerus trained approximately 100 pastors who reached 5,000+ youth in Gulu, Uganda, with the transformational messages of It Takes Courage

The Medical Institute

The Medical Institute and Kerus worked on a joint project called ChangeMakers, created by Drs. Cerullo and Ball. ChangeMakers was a nationally recognized 2-day seminar for community leaders across the USA addressing youth risk behavior issues in their states.

CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), CrossRoads

From 1996-2005, Drs. Ball and Cerullo worked as consultants for Campus Crusade for Christ International’s CrossRoads Strategy. Kerus provided the educational arm of the CrossRoads program for nine years, playing a key role in curriculum development and designing the CrossRoads Teacher Training strategy. The CrossRoads program is active in over 50 nations and the materials are offered in 15 languages.
