A Legacy of Courage, Faith, and Collaboration
“Even the best cooking pot will not produce food.” [ Old African Proverb ]
Vision and resources alone are not enough to bring about transformation—it takes daily courage, faith, and perseverance. We have found that faith, expertise, and God’s love combine to make a powerful catalyst for change—in preventing AIDS, protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse, and serving orphans and widows.
For 25 years, we’ve listened—we’ve learned—we’ve empowered others—choosing collaboration over control and walking alongside communities as co-laborers in love, not to impose solutions, but to equip courageous individuals who know their communities best. We empower them to raise awareness and inspire sustainable change within their cultural context.
Global Reach Rooted in Local Leadership
Today, those very leaders in over 60 nations are still transforming their communities and saving lives.
With our materials translated into over 15 languages, and a global network of partnerships with many of the world’s largest faith-based organizations, Kerus has helped shape strategies, influence public policy, and strengthen grassroots efforts.
Innovation for the Next Generation of Impact
Embracing creative solutions, and equipping leaders to face hard realities with faith and wisdom, Kerus has remained at the forefront of innovation—asking bold questions and stepping into the unknown with open hands and humble hearts.
Now, as new technologies emerge, Kerus is entering one of the most exciting chapters in our history. For the first time, we can take the life-saving trainings we have always delivered in person and carry them across the airwaves—bringing messages of healing, safety, and hope to millions we could never reach face to face.
Through innovative tools, we can repurpose and translate materials faster than ever, reaching new audiences and underserved regions in ways once unimaginable.
Just one project we are working on with our partner TWR (Trans World Radio) will deliver specialized training to caregivers of traumatized children as well as to those fighting for the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse of children. This new intiative will reach out in 14 new languages to over 15 new nations, with the potential of reaching 130 million listeners!
Yet, while these digital and radio platforms expand our impact, we remain deeply committed to being present—walking alongside leaders, equipping caregivers, and training trainers in communities and in person.
This dual approach—both in the field and over the air—positions us to multiply impact and carry God’s message of hope farther and deeper than ever before. Together, with God’s help, we will continue to seek new ways to carry this mission forward—for the next generation, the next challenge, and the next 25 years.
Our Unwavering Commitment to Protect Children
We remain committed to ending the sexual exploitation and abuse of children—their cries compel us to grow as an organization and embrace new ways to empower adults who will have the courage to care. Every child deserves safety. Every child deserves healing. That is why we will not stop equipping leaders to stand, protect, and restore.
Stepping Boldly Into the Next 25 Years
This is the exciting future of Kerus: bold, collaborative, faith-driven, and unwavering in mission.
Called by love and compelled to act, we step into the next 25 years ready to carry healing, truth, and hope through the airwaves, online and in person to every corner of the world.
Thank you for standing with us—in prayer, in giving, and in partnership. The journey continues, and we are so grateful to walk it with you!
