COVID-19

The Reality & Our Response

COVID-19

The Reality

Our hearts grieve the debilitating effects of COVID-19. The lives in Soshanguve, South Africa have been deeply impacted through the devastation of this pandemic already saturated in daunting poverty. Our beloved Kerus family in Soshanguve, South Africa, has been restricted to the crammed quarters of their rickety shacks with the cold of winter setting in, unable to work, unable to get food or medicine, unable to set foot outside their door without being met by military patrols. The Kerus Orphan Care Center is closed, leaving many of our precious ones without food or other resources they have depended on for survival. This pandemic placed our families in deep distress, and starvation could have starkly come.

Our Response

With the gifts so far from generous donors, the Kerus Leadership Team and a few Orphan Care Center staff members had the God given opportunity to deliver food boxes of hope. Tears of joy and relief flooded and overwhelmed our Kerus families.

We know it takes an army of committed support to change the painful paths of destruction that COVID-19 has left.
